I sometimes shelve it at my job, and I noticed it in the window of Belmont Butchery. It is a really neat magazine about, well, meat. And not recipes or barbeque tips, but the beauty of it, really. I guess I never thought meat was beautiful - and I still don't really - but this magazine casts it in a whole new light.
I was talking to my brother yesterday and he mentioned that the older he gets, the more he cares about eating deliciously. When he came to visit, we went on a little foodie tour of Richmond, and I had the opportunity to try some things I've never had before. I'd never had a bbq pulled chicken sandwich before I had one at
Buz and Ned's. And I tried my first fried catfish, brussel sprouts, and NY sirloin at
Comfort.
While enjoying a gyro "battleship" at the
Black Sheep, I said aloud - I feel sorry for vegetarians. I definitely understand where they are coming from, but it's not for me.
I love meat!
